Blake's 7

Blake's 7 was a science fiction series written by Terry Nation, creator of the Daleks in Doctor Who. Its team was assembled by going over to the Doctor Who studio and offering acting, writing and producing roles to anyone in sight, as once you got a foot in the door at the BBC in the 1970s you were sorted for life. Seriously, just take a look at some of the people involved:

• Terry Nation (writer): Inventor of the Daleks, wrote numerous serials for Doctor Who.
• Chris Boucher (script editor): Wrote The Face of Evil and The Robots of Death, also invented the companion Leela.
• Paul Darrow (Avon): Starred in Doctor Who and the Silurians and Timelash.
• Peter Miles (Rontane): Starred in Doctor Who and the Silurians, Invasion of the Dinosaurs and Genesis of the Daleks.
• Brian Croucher (Travis): Starred in The Robots of Death.

I'm sure there are others. One of the joys of watching Blake's 7 as a Whovian is playing Spot the Doctor Who actor.
